Deloitte x Penny Appeal Canada x National Zakat Foundation Day of Giving

Last week, during Deloitte’s Impact Day, National Zakat Foundation (NZF) had the privilege of welcoming families from Gaza, supported by our valued partners Penny Appeal Canada and Deloitte.  

Through this collaborative effort, we were able to provide a day filled with essential resources, community connection, and a sense of belonging.

The event was designed to offer essential support, foster a sense of community, and provide hope to families from Gaza who are facing immense challenges in Canada.

Children enjoyed engaging activities like cookie decorating and painting, while parents had the opportunity to focus on building their futures with job coaching sessions, which included resume writing tips and interview preparation.

Through a community-driven gift drive, families were able to select clothing, toys, and household essentials, providing them with the necessary resources to settle into their new homes.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and partners, whose efforts ensured that every family felt supported and cared for.

Since 2023, National Zakat Foundation Canada has been at the forefront of providing critical aid to families affected by the crisis in Gaza. With continuous support through financial assistance, resource distribution, and community-driven initiatives, we remain committed to helping these families rebuild their lives and find stability in Canada. Through collaboration, compassion, and dedication, we continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.
