Support Families with Winter Essentials

Healthcare in Canada remains out of reach for far too many. While basic services are covered, critical care—like chemotherapy, dental treatment, and mental health support—comes at a cost that struggling families simply can’t afford.

This means impossible choices: a father powerless as his wife endures untreated illness, a homeless man suffering relentless dental pain, a caregiver stretched to the breaking point trying to keep their loved ones afloat.

The Medical Relief Program changes that. With your support, families can access life-saving treatments, essential medications, and the mental health care they need—because no one should have to choose between their health and their future.

Healthcare is a right...

But for many Muslims and vulnerable families across Canada, healthcare remains out of reach. With your generosity, we can change that. Your donation ensures that families receive the medical care they need—so they can heal, thrive, and live with dignity.

Mohamed’s Story

Mohamed’s world was turned upside down. His son’s battle with Multiple Sclerosis slowly stole his vision and strength, while cancer took Mohamed’s wife, leaving him to raise their three children alone.

Like many families with special medical needs, he faced crushing healthcare costs. The price of treatments, therapies, and medications kept climbing, and even basic necessities—like finding an affordable doctor or transportation to appointments—became overwhelming. The financial strain left little room for anything beyond survival.

But because of you, Mohamed and his children found relief. With your support, they accessed the care they desperately needed, giving them a chance to heal, regain stability, and rebuild their lives.

Who Were the ANSAAR

The Ansaar (Supporters) were the inhabitants of Madinah who welcomed and supported the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the Muhajirun (emigrants from Makkah). Their selflessness, generosity, and strong sense of community were instrumental in the establishment and spread of Islam.

Allah praises them in the Qur'an: "As for the foremost—the first of the Emigrants and the Supporters—and those who follow them in goodness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him." (9:100)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said to the Ansaar: "You are dearest to me amongst people." (Muslim)

Let us strive to be like the Ansaar, always ready to extend a helping hand, foster community, and work together for the common good, seeking the pleasure of Allah in all that we do.
