Fatima's Story

A single mother with three young children, Fatima tried to escape the war back home by seeking refuge in Canada. After initially being denied entry, she never lost hope, and was eventually able to safely arrive in Canada.

However, because of her complicated legal circumstances, her work permit application was denied and her baby wasn't accepted into daycare, which made it nearly impossible for her to support her family or go to English classes.

With no way to get employment, she found herself in a difficult situation.

Either she pay rent on time or provide for her children.
It broke her heart to see her children suffer, but what would they do if they were homeless too?

When Fatima learned about NZF, she applied for assistance right away. She was afraid she would be denied and would have to survive off of credit card debts, but her faith was strong and her intention of protecting her family was sincere.
